The Award
In mid-February 2024, popular actor Wotan Wilke Möhring, as patron, presented the awards to the winners of the Top 100 Opticians 2024/2025 competition and personally handed us the certificate at a festive gala in Düsseldorf, which we have now received continuously since 2006.
We are particularly pleased about this 10th consecutive award for our optical store. We applied again for this title with the BGW Institute for Innovative Market Research and once again made it into the Top 100.
In an extensive process, the numerous participants of the TOP 100 Opticians were selected by an independent jury from science and marketing, represented by the BGW Institute for Innovative Market Research in Düsseldorf.
The applicants were thoroughly examined through store inspections and anonymous test purchases. The jury succeeded in finding the opticians among the applicants who demonstrate particularly customer-oriented thinking and actions.
Evaluations were conducted in these 5 categories:
- Customer Orientation
- Customer Information
- Employee Orientation
- Business Management
- Store Design
Naturally, the tested quality and service features are standard at all our locations.

MIDO 2024 – International Eyewear Show in Milan
Last weekend, we visited MIDO, the international eyewear show in Milan.
MIDO is the world’s leading trade fair representing the entire eyewear industry, with
over 1,200 exhibitors from 50 countries and visitors from over 130 countries. Sustainability and artisanal intelligence were the key trends at MIDO 2024.
At MIDO, leading companies from the fields of eyewear, contact lenses, optical equipment, and accessories present their latest products and innovations. It is a great opportunity to discover the latest trends and developments in the optical industry and to exchange ideas with other experts. Here, our passion for eyewear fashion met like-minded individuals.
During our visit, we had the opportunity to engage in many interesting discussions with representatives from various companies and to view, as well as acquire, the latest products and technologies.
We were particularly impressed by the variety and quality of the exhibited products, as well as the innovative approaches pursued by several companies.
MIDO was an extremely rewarding experience for us, and we are already looking forward to participating again next year. It is always amazing to see how the industry continues to evolve and what new opportunities arise as a result.
Some of these developments and products will already be available to our customers in the coming days.

This year’s visit to opti was already a highlight at the start of the year, which we shared with over 21,500 visitors and nearly 390 exhibitors from 28 countries in crowded exhibition halls.
In discussions with representatives of international top brands and young independent designers, we were able to draw inspiration from innovations and new formats.

Strengthen your eye health now!
Strengthen your eye health now!
You can significantly promote your eye health through optimized nutrition and nutrient supply.
The holidays are over, gloomy days, less movement…
Your eyes need a good supply of valuable nutrients right now.
Why?
There are aggressive chemical compounds in the human body (so-called free radicals). These are waste products of our metabolism that are constantly being created in every cell of the human body.
What makes them so dangerous?
Free radicals form further chemical compounds that alter the metabolism of healthy cells and destroy them from within. This also applies, among other things, to the sensitive retina of your eyes.
What can be done about it?
Ensure a good supply of lutein. This substance has strong antioxidant properties that can scavenge free radicals and protect your cell structures. This reduces oxidative stress.
What contains lutein?
Primarily green vegetables such as: kale, spinach, broccoli, etc. The Roman Wagner lutein table helps you select valuable types of vegetables.
Foods and their lutein content
The table below provides an overview of foods and their lutein content. It is intended to show the quantities of each food that must be consumed to cover the daily lutein requirement of 10 mg.

Note: The vitamin concentration of foods can vary significantly—due to excessively long storage, the use of preservatives, nutrient-poor soils, or overbreeding.
What else can I do?
As we get older, the metabolism can no longer absorb natural lutein as effectively. Dietary supplements are recommended, especially if the aforementioned foods are not liked or tolerated. Appropriately formulated supplements are also available at the Roman Wagner Centers for Good Vision.
